There is a time for everything and everything will come in its time. The biggest challenge with that, is that we don't get to pick the time for these things that come to pass. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NIV) says:
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
I found the plaque below on Lily's blog and just knew it was one I will definitely need to get for my house. I love it! Kiss slowly...forgive quickly...play hard...take chances...give everything...AND have NO regrets...I so agree...because life IS too short to be anything but H-A-P-P-Y!

Tonight was a beautiful evening. I took my baby girl out for a walk following my normal running path as we walked hand in hand. I love that she takes my hand still. It feels so wonderful to have her small hand secure in my own.
As we neared the playground, I turned on my 10k running mix. My son rode up beside us on his bike and asked what we were doing. I told him we were taking a walk...silly boy :) He rode off and we continued along listening to the sounds of the bullfrogs croaking in the marsh next to us. Baby girl wanted to run up the hillside on the edge of the pond so we did. I saved her from stepping in a big pile of doggie doo as we laughed and ran down the other side back onto the trail. It was so fun! A couple was feeding a mommy and daddy goose and their 3 goslings. They gave baby girl the rest of their bread and she fed them:
She was asking me about the time when I was little and the geese at Clague Park tried to get me. It's so great to have your kids know all your stories...hehe. As we continued our walk, baby girl wanted to be closer to the music so I gave her a piggy back ride so she could hear one of the songs. Then we laughed and danced in the streets where she wanted me to twirl and dip her...just not in front of any of the kids she knows. She'd say, "Mom, stop! You're embarrassing me!" which totally just makes me do it more and bigger as she grabs me and tries to hold me still which just makes me laugh all the more! Today was a time to laugh, a time to dance, a time to embrace, a time for peace and a time to plant seeds of love throughout the memories of my baby girl. It is a time that I will cherish! Love you, baby girl!

Thank you, Sharon! I love this verse, too. The priest at my friend's funeral a few weeks back used this scripture and it is so fitting to life!
